L: Look at that mountain Zelda. It represents all the things that have happened this week on Witendofi.
Z: What's Witendofi?
L: Shut up Zelda gosh
It's Saturday! That means it's time for me to write a general update about the site. If you've been away all this time, mark the forums as read because everything important will be here. Yes. It's been an awesome first week, with a total of 86 members now on the site.
This week has been full of secret optimisations, bug fixes and minor feature upgrades. You can now 1UP all sorts of things! Your profile page should look a lot tastier than it did on day 1 of release, and the forums are generally better with pages, working BBCode and so on. For a full list of changes, check out this topic: http://witendofi.com/boards/1/conversations/2
3DS & Wii U Releases
The software developers trundle along with no releases for this week, but I'm keeping this section in because the official Pokémon Twitter account had this to say: "Pokémon fans, mark your calendars! Check Pokemon.com on January 8th for some big news!"
Are they announcing a new release? We'll see, but you'd think so. How exciting! Somebody make sure to check that thing.
I have no birthday reports to steal from my Facebook, so don't worry about your gift-giving for a little bit. Remember, if your birthday is coming up, let me know and you can get some sort of recognition, right here in the hall of fame.
So, what have you little scamps been up to? There's been all sorts of interesting discussions in the forums, talking about things we find disappointing, terrible fan art, discussing the letdowns of 2012... and also some positive things! The Creativity board is just starting to blossom and I can't wait to see more work form the community. Feature requests have been coming in at a decent pace which is awesome; we can't let the admins get complacent.
Lord Shade coined the term 'Witendofites', and it seems to be growing in popularity. The Pictures area has seen more activity than I was expecting, which is pretty cool. Keep doing that! Keep making new topics, replying to people, asking and answering questions... it reminds me of good times, because it is good times.
That just about wraps up our first week: everything is going according to plan. Except that memory leak, which is easy to forget, hahahahaha I'm done.
